e-learning Forum Asia 2026
The collaborative project we presented in 2026 e-Learning Forum Asia was kindly supported by the Courseware Development Grant 2026-28 of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). In this project, the School of Life Sciences collaborated with the long term partner, Information Technology Services Centre of CUHK to innovate the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Technically, it was not limited to generative AI but also AI for facial recognition analytics. In fact, it was my first exploration of this area of AI and we will see how is it going. The 14th European Conference on Education (ECE2026)
The final stop of my European trip was the United Kingdom; where I participated in the European Conference on Education (ECE) 2026 organized by the International Academic Forum for the first time. The title of my poster presentation was ‘A Quantitative Pilot Study of the Application of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Life Science Literature Research’; which was the follow-up study of my previous work. FEBS 2026
The second destination of the European trip was the Netherlands. It was the first time I visited this country and traveling to Maastricht was a challenge to me. Personally, I have joined the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) Congress for so many times: the first time dated back to 2006; second time was in 2018; the third time was 2023; and the last time was in 2024. The 11th International Conference on Teaching, Learning and Education
It was a busy summer; after the poster presentation in Italy, I went for another European trip one month later in July. The first destination was Switzerland; where I gave an oral presentation titled ‘A Preliminary Evaluation of Artificial Intelligence-Facilitated Marking Processes across Seven Dimensions of Student Hand-written Work’ at the 11th International Conference on Teaching, Learning and Education. The project was exploring some new dimensions regarding the applications of generative artificial intelligence in education.
