Although it was my second time joining an academic conference in North America, it was my first time to present my work in Canada; and it was also my first time to focus more on social science rather than pedagogy or education. This summer, I had the pleasure to present a poster in the 14th Canada International Conference on Education (CICE-2024) about some observations of my students over the last decade. The conference was held in Toronto between 23 and 25 July 2024. The title of my paper was ‘life science students in Hong Kong between 2013 and 2023’. Indeed, students in 2023 were quite different from those in 2013; I am planning to observe for five more years until 2028, hopefully, for more details of the changes.
