Greetings! Welcome to my professional website, first established in the summer of 2015, which offers a reflective overview of my work as a lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). It has since become a space where I document my teaching practice, academic interests, and ongoing engagement with student development.
My career at CUHK began in 2009, initially as an instructor. Over the years, I have taught extensively across the biochemistry curriculum and served as an Academic Advisor to both undergraduate and postgraduate Biochemistry students. As my experience deepened, so too did the scope of my responsibilities. I grew into practice centred on student well-being, career counselling, and academic coaching that have allowed me to support learners in their intellectual, professional, and personal journeys. In 2025, I reached a significant milestone: 15 years of service for the CUHK, the Exemplary Teaching Award by the Chung Chi College, and the 120th student formally advised or coached, a testament to my aspiration over the years.
Looking forward, I remain committed to embracing thoughtful innovation in teaching. This includes the integration of emerging educational technologies, complemented by evidence-based insights from the fields of education and psychology. My aspiration is to create learning environments that are both rigourous and compassionate that offer some places where my students feel challenged, supported, and inspired to grow and thrive.
As this website continues to evolve, I shall update it periodically with new initiatives, reflections, and developments. I hope the content here will be of interest to students, collaborators, and colleagues within the wider educational community.
