After CUSA1033, CUSA1023 Great Discoveries in Biomedical Sciences Practical One was offered again this year. Owing to the great demand noted last year, this 5-hour short practical course was offered twice on 7 and 14 September with a total of 16 extraordinary students; there was a 78% increase in student number when compared with that in 2023. I felt very pleased as a science teacher: with the amazing performance of my students, there were undoubtedly plenty of science talents in Hong Kong. Slowly but sure, they will become the pillars of our scientific community in the future!
