U-Beat Magazine interview

I have a chance to have some discussion recently with the student reporters of U-Beat Magazine from the School of Journalism and Communication about the potential biological effects of some newly developed garment.

During the discussion, we came across an element called ‘Germanium’ (鍺) that was not very common in the biological system; yet, in the periodic table, this element belongs to the same group of carbon, silicon, tin, and lead. According to some literature, germanium was used as food supplements during the 1970’s in Japan!

I considered the interview as another mode of general education, which was interesting and stimulating!
