‘Biochemistry, Immunity, and Infections I‘ was first introduced in 2018, when the course was still named as ‘Biochemistry and Infections’. At that time, teaching immunity and infection was rather remote as it covered many abstract ideas, such as cytokine storms.
During the post-COVID era, teaching this course becomes so straight forward; as all students have personally experienced the contents of the course: PCR and Ct values were our everyday life terminology during the last few years. On 18 and 25 February, 17 outstanding students completed this course face-to-face again after Hong Kong was completely back to normal.
