It was the first time I presented a poster virtually in the 2022 Annual Meeting of American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB). As the continuation of my previous poster, the title of the poster was ‘pilot study of career development and personal values among Biochemistry students’, in which career preference, satisfaction of CV, satisfaction of interview skills, confidence in career planning and development were surveyed. Moreover, the career interests based on Holland Code were studied. Furthermore, the personal values of the students were analyzed according to the Barrett Model. Practically, the information collected was very useful.

It was indeed the first comprehensive study related to student career development ever conducted in my career as a university lecturer and as a career counsellor, I am feeling grateful that the findings will be useful for my future practice, for example, one of my mentees from the Global Talent Mentoring has successfully been admitted to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of University College London. What a dream comes true!
