Due to the fifth outbreak of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, the Program for the Gifted and Talented (PGT) Spring Programs continued to be offered online. Applied Biochemistry I was my first course ever offered in PGT; from 2017 to 2022, it has been five years and this course was offered for four times in 2017, 2018, 2021, and 2022; where the classes held in 2021 and 2022 were conducted online. In 2017, there were 17 students; in 2018, there were 18 ; in the online class of 2021, there were also 18; and this year on 13 and 20 April, there were 23 brilliant students joining the class. The enrollment was a record and it suggested that our students had some strong motivation to learn. I will try my best to offer a bit more courses so as to maintain the learning progress of our students, hopefully, until the normal teaching schedule of the Secondary Schools in Hong Kong is more-or-less resumed.
