I was so excited as there was another STEM course to resume face-to-face teaching mode. On 15 and 22 May, 16 brilliant students ‘reunited’ on the campus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong for the course titled ‘Applied Biochemistry II’. Since 2020, all my courses under the Program for the Gifted and Talented (PGT) were offered online. My last face-to-face PGT course was held in January 2020, just before the outbreak of COVID-19. For ‘Applied Biochemistry II’, the last offering was dated back to January and February 2019. It has been two years!
Personally speaking, online teaching and face-to-face teaching are quite different; in spite of some commuting time, I prefer face-to-face classes as there can be some real-time interaction and we can communicate with each other much better.
